Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 12, 2026

Betessi LLC ("us", "we", or "our") operates Betessi.com (the "Website" or "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit or use our Service.

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

A. Personal Data: While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Email address
  • First name and last name
  • Billing and transaction metadata (note: payment details are handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and are not stored on our servers)

B. Usage Data: We may also collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

C. Tracking & Cookies Data: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

2. How We Use Your Data

Betessi LLC uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
  • To notify you about changes to our Service.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so.
  • To provide customer support.
  • To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service.
  • To monitor the usage of our Service.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
  • To process your payments and prevent fraud.

3. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data Under GDPR

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Betessi LLC’s legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it.

We may process your Personal Data because:

  • We need to perform a contract with you (e.g., to process your subscription).
  • You have given us permission to do so.
  • The processing is in our legitimate interests and it is not overridden by your rights.
  • For payment processing purposes.
  • To comply with the law.

4. Data Retention

Betessi LLC will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws, such as financial or tax regulations), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Unless a specific legal obligation requires longer retention (such as tax compliance which requires transactional records to be kept for 7 years), we will delete or anonymize your Personal Data upon your request or when you close your account.

The record of the membership terms you accepted at checkout (that you accepted them, which wording you saw, when, and whether we emailed you the confirmation) is kept after you close your account, for three years or for one year after your membership ends, whichever is longer, as automatic-renewal laws require.

When you start a free trial, we keep a one-way identifier of the card you used, supplied by Stripe (never the card number), or, if you paid through Stripe Link, a one-way hash of your Link email address, together with a one-way hash of your email address and your account, to detect and prevent repeated free trials. This record is also kept after you close your account.

5. Third-Party Service Providers & Disclosures

We employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

The key processors we share data with include:

  • Accounts, database and hosting: Google Firebase and Google Cloud (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Run) — your sign-in credentials, profile and preferences, and the positions you log.
  • Sign in with Google: Google, if you choose "Continue with Google" — we receive your name, email address and profile picture.
  • Payments: Stripe — subscription billing, receipts and the customer portal. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers.
  • Alerts you opt into: Telegram (if you connect it), browser push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and text messages to a phone number you give us. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text to end them.
  • Sports data: SportsDataIO supplies scores, schedules, rosters, injuries and odds, and The Odds API supplies sportsbook prices. No personal data is sent to either.
  • AI review: Anthropic's models review the day's slate and answer the in-app Advisor. Your questions to the Advisor are sent for a response; account details are not.
  • Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics (usage of the app and site); Google Tag Manager, which loads the measurement tags on betessi.com and app.betessi.com; and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), whose pixel tells Meta when someone who saw one of our ads visits, signs up or starts a trial, and lets us show our ads to people who have visited. If we advertise on Google, TikTok or X, their tags work the same way. Meta's own privacy policy governs what it keeps; you can limit this at facebook.com/adpreferences and with your browser's tracking protection. An advertising agency acting for us, Digital Throttle, manages these tags in our Tag Manager container. Its container also routes the measurement hits through a server the agency runs (digitalthrottle.ss-gtm.com) and loads ClickCease, a service that records visits to detect fraudulent ad clicks; each sees your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, and keeps them under its own policy.
  • Support: Requests you submit through the app are stored with your email address so we can reply.

6. Do Not Track (DNT) Disclosure

We do not respond to Do Not Track ("DNT") signals. DNT is a preference you can set in your web browser; there is no common standard for honoring it, so our site and app behave the same whether or not it is set. The opt-outs that do work are in Sections 5 and 8.

7. Your Data Protection Rights Under GDPR

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Betessi LLC aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

  • The right to access, update, or delete the information we have on you.
  • The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
  • The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
  • The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of your Personal Data in a structured, machine-readable, and commonly used format.
  • The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where we relied on your consent to process your personal information.

8. Your Privacy Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California)

If you are a California resident, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.

A. Categories of Personal Information Collected: In the preceding 12 months, we have collected: identifiers (email, name), commercial information (payment history), and internet/network activity.

B. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell your personal data. We do share your activity on our site and app with Meta for advertising measurement and for showing our ads to people who have visited, as described in Section 5, which California law may treat as "sharing". To opt out, use Meta's ad preferences (facebook.com/adpreferences), block third-party trackers in your browser, or email us and we will delete the information we hold about you.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
